TOKYO (dpa-AFX) - At least 15 people were killed and 45 were injured in a knife attack at a facility for the disabled early Tuesday morning near Tokyo, according to reports.
A local police official reportedly said the attack happened around 2:30 a.m. local time in Sagamihara when a man with a knife entered a facility called Tsukui Yamayurien. A suspect, who is in his 20s, was later arrested by police, the official said.
An official in Kanagawa prefecture, where the facility is located, said 15 people were killed and 45 were injured.
The reports said the suspect was a former worker at the facility, which includes residential quarters for disabled people.
