BLAUBEUREN (dpa-AFX) - Centrotherm photovoltaics AG (CPHVF.PK) reported Thursday that its first-half consolidated loss amounted to 2.1 million euros, compared to last year's earnings of 6.7 million euros.
Group EBIT in the first half of 2016 stood at negative 1.7 million euros, compared to positive 10.6 million euros in the comparative period.
Consolidated sales fell to 61.9 million euros from 86.0 million euros in the same period in the previous year. Total operating revenue for the centrotherm photovoltaics Group amounted to 75.9 million euros, compared to 91.7 million euros last year.
Centrotherm significantly increased its order intake to 89.5 million euros from last year's 46.6 million euros. Order book as at June 30, 2016 had increased to 142.6 million euros from 113.5 million euros as at December 31, 2015.
New orders totaling 85.4 million euros were received from the photovoltaics and semiconductor industry, compared to 29.5 million euros last year.
Looking ahead, the company continues to expect fiscal 2016 revenue between 120 million euros and 150 million euros.
Overall, the Management Board anticipates at least breakeven at the consolidated net result level. The company continues to aim to achieve the latter through consistent efficiency enhancement and cost structure optimization.
In Germany, Centrotherm shares were trading at 2.20 euros, down 8.71 percent.
