WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - McCormick & Co. (MKC) announced earnings for its third quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.
The company said its bottom line climbed to $131.1 million, or $1.03 per share. This was higher than $109.7 million, or $0.85 per share, in last year's third quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.94 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter rose 2.8% to $1.09 billion. This was up from $1.06 billion last year.
