WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Hexcel Corp. (HXL) announced earnings for its third quarter that increased from last year.
The company said its bottom line rose to $61.6 million, or $0.65 per share. This was up from $53.5 million, or $0.55 per share, in last year's third quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.61 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter rose 11.5% to $500.5 million. This was up from $448.8 million last year.
