WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Avery Dennison Corp. (AVY) revealed earnings for its third quarter that gained ground from last year.
The company said its bottom line rose to $91.6 million, or $1.01 per share. This was up from $81.3 million, or $0.87 per share, in last year's third quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.00 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter rose 2.7% to $1.51 billion. This was up from $1.47 billion last year.
