WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Southwest Airlines Co. (LUV) said that it flew 10.4 billion revenue passenger miles or RPMs in November 2016, an increase of 7.2 percent from the 9.7 billion RPMs flown in November 2015.
Available seat miles (ASMs) increased 4.9 percent to 12.3 billion in November 2016, compared with November 2015 ASMs of 11.7 billion.
The November 2016 load factor was a record for the month of November at 85.1 percent, compared with 83.3 percent in November 2015.
The company continues to expect its fourth quarter 2016 operating revenue per ASM (RASM) to decline in the 4.0 to 5.0 percent range, as compared with fourth quarter 2015.
