PARIS (dpa-AFX) - Philippe Brassac, Credit Agricole's (CRARF.PK, CDA.L, ACA) CEO, would consider acquisitions in order to offer a full range of services for German customers, as the bank currently provides in Italy and France, the Handelsblatt newspaper reported.
Philippe Brassac, in an interview with the Handelsblatt newspaper, said he has expressed interest in Commerzbank if the German lender were to be up for sale.
There has been speculation that the German government could sell its about 15 percent stake in Commerzbank.
