WARSAW (dpa-AFX) - Poland's accelerated sharply in September to its highest level in more than three years, figures from the National Bank of Poland showed Friday.
The consumer price index excluding food and energy prices rose 1 percent year-on-year, marking its biggest increase since June 2014, when prices grew the same.
A higher rate was previously seen in March 2014, when the index rose 1.1 percent.
In August, core inflation had slowed to 0.7 percent from 0.8 percent seen in the previous few months.
On a month-on-month basis, the core CPI edged up 0.1 percent in September after falling 0.2 percent in August. The increase was the first in three months.
