The site, a subsidiary of Impreso, Inc. (http://www.tstimpreso.com/), has just kicked off a competition to find additional CSS design styles for the HotSheet.com directory and search pages. Winning entries will be included in the site's style selection list, which lets visitors choose the appearance of the site on their browsers -- and the competition's grand prize winner will walk away with a new inkjet photo printer.
"This contest was created to increase the variety of design options available to HotSheet users," said Bob Mersman, HotSheet.com, Inc. general manager. "We've changed the programming on our directory and search pages to take advantage of external CSS style sheets, which gives our users a wide variety of appearance options. Once a user selects a design, the style will continue through search functions and on future visits to HotSheet and the user's personalized my.HotSheet.com page."
It's a unique function that doesn't require user registration or complicated procedures. The HotSheet.com Style Selector currently lists seventeen color schemes and four layouts -- but after the competition wraps up, site visitors will have at least five more winning designs to choose from. Other selected entries will be included on a design index page showing the complete list of designs available, along with the designers' names and contact information.
As for prizes, all designers whose entries are listed on the design index page will receive a 20-count package of photo-quality printer paper and a pack of HotSheet memo pads. The five winning designers will also receive an assortment of high-quality printer paper, including professional photo quality, double-sided glossy photo, CD/DVD labels, and more. And for the grand prize winner, the windfall will also include a new inkjet photo printer. All prizes will be supplied by Impreso, Inc.
Those wishing to enter the HotSheet.com competition should send CSS files, including any graphic image files needed to support the design, to contest@hotsheet.com. Entries are to be received by no later than July 31, 2004.
