DENVER, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frontier Airlines announced today that effective February 1, 2005, the airline will no longer offer service between its Denver International Airport (DEN) hub and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) in Washington, D.C. In addition, the airline will drop its single non-stop Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) flights to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) as well as Kansas City International Airport (MCI) as of February 23, 2004.
The airline will continue to offer non-stop service between its hometown hub in Denver and Philadelphia, Kansas City, and Los Angeles and convenient connecting services from Los Angeles to Philadelphia and Kansas City will continue to be available. Frontier will also continue to offer five daily non-stops to/from Denver to the Washington, D.C. area including three daily non-stops to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and two daily non-stops to Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI).
"Today's announced changes are part of our on-going efforts to reallocate resources where they can maximize efficiency and enhance profitability," said Greg Aretakis, vice president of planning.
