Wangers Named AMCI CEO & President of Radiate's New Automotive Group

MARINA DEL REY, Calif., Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Gordon Wangers, who has served as president of Automotive Marketing Consultants Inc. (AMCI) since 1987, has been named CEO of the agency and president of the newly created Radiate Automotive Marketing Services Group (RAMSG). Wangers is succeeded as president by AMCI executive vice president David Stokols. AMCI and RAMSG are members of the Omnicom Diversified Agency Services (DAS) division's The Radiate Group.

"Gordon Wangers' automotive marketing creativity and innovation has shaped how an entire industry markets its products to consumers," said Gary Reynolds, CEO, The Radiate Group. "The world's most prestigious automotive brands have Gordon and his team creating exciting, results-based live-marketing programs which is why we are pleased he continues to provide strategic counsel at AMCI as well as lead the new Radiate Automotive Marketing Services Group."

Wangers' vision for automotive marketing -- and his creative emphasis on the importance of product information in all forms of advertising and consumer communication -- grew AMCI from a home office just 20 years ago into an international marketing powerhouse.

"This is an exciting opportunity to break new trail with Radiate's Automotive Marketing Services Group and continue in a strategic role with AMCI," Wangers said. "We will grow Radiate's automotive business by developing opportunities for organic growth within AMCI and through program integration with other Omnicom and Radiate agencies."

Stokols has been with AMCI since 1990. His contributions have been key to the development of AMCI's unique Learn & Drive(R) strategy, the basis for almost every manufacturer's current experiential-marketing program. Also under his direction, the company has grown substantially by parlaying its dynamic vehicle testing expertise into highly successful product-training programs in the United States and abroad.

As agency president, he is now responsible for all aspects of AMCI's day- to-day business, including sales, marketing, product development, and general business management. He will continue to be based at the company's Marina del Rey, Calif., headquarters.

"I am very pleased to be AMCI's new president," Stokols said. "Clients and employees alike should know that under my leadership AMCI will continue to develop and execute automotive marketing solutions with the same incomparable creativity and veracity that has been the AMCI hallmark for 20 years."
