LOS ANGELES, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Intermix Media, Inc. , a leader in Internet marketing and entertainment, announced that William Woodward has joined the Intermix Media Board of Directors. Woodward, currently the Managing Director and founder of Anthem Venture Partners in Los Angeles, has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the Intermix Media Board.
Woodward brings to the Intermix Board an impressive background as an entrepreneur and investor. In 1987, at the age of 26, Woodward founded Macromedia and prepared the company for a public offering in 1992 as Macromedia, Inc., creating a new technology sector, multimedia software.
Woodward later founded Pulse Entertainment, the world's leading 3D animation engine and tools company for mobile communications. In 2000, Pulse was named a Red Herring Top 50 Private Company. He also founded Launch Media, Inc., the leading online music community that was later acquired by Yahoo!
