The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) today
announced Ralph Luchs has joined the association as the new education
director. He brings more than 14 years of management and training
experience to the position and will be responsible for the day-to-day
operations of the organization's educational offerings. Luchs will
focus on continuing the SNIA's education, certification and training
both in the U.S. and internationally.
"We are very excited to welcome Luchs as our new Educational Director," said Wayne M. Adams, chairman of the board of the SNIA. "This hire supports the SNIA's commitment to provide vendor-neutral, best-in-class education and training as well as our continued move to a direct employment model."
Mr. Luchs joins the SNIA from Hewlett-Packard and has an extensive background in IT, business development, and training. As the Training Manager/Learning Program Manager at Hewlett-Packard, Luchs was responsible for global storage services training strategy and program management. Additionally, Mr. Luchs formerly was an Environmental Statistician for the Department of Data Processing and Statistics and he received a Masters Degree in Adult Education from Colorado State University in 2004.
