For the past 10 years, ARAMARK has provided food service at the Airbus fuselage manufacturing facility in Nordenham. With the expanded relationship, ARAMARK will hire approximately 140 employees to serve Airbus operations in Hamburg Finkenwerder, Hamburg Fuhlsbuttel, Stade, Varel, Bremen and Buxtehude. Previously, Airbus Deutschland's food service operations at these locations were managed by a combination of in-house capabilities and an outside food service provider.
"We are proud to be in a position to expand our relationship with such a respected global employer," said Ravi Saligram, President of ARAMARK International. "As one of the largest food services companies in Germany, we believe ARAMARK is well positioned to meet Airbus Deutschland's need for integrated single-source food service management - from business dining services to conference services to event catering and vending."
ARAMARK will update five business dining facilities including new menus, and stations that provide employees with made to order food options. The vending program will receive new machines, stocked with brand-name snack offerings, and the shops and stores will undergo a redesign offering a new selection of popular brand items. ARAMARK also is planning events for Airbus employees to launch the new food service program.
"ARAMARK's German management team developed an innovative, quality-based strategy to support Airbus Deutschland's goal for creative employee dining and superior food products," Saligram said.
