NASHVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- HCA today announced the appointment of A. Bruce Moore, Jr. as Group President for Outpatient Services effective immediately.

In his new position, Moore, 45, will be responsible for HCA's non-hospital based outpatient services. He was previously Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer-Outpatient Services, responsible for daily operations of the group.
In his new role, he will report to Richard M. Bracken, HCA's President and Chief Operating Officer. "Bruce is a veteran HCA leader with experience in many different leadership positions," Bracken said. "His diverse background and strong operational and strategic focus position him well to further the growth of our outpatient services."

Moore joined HCA as a staff auditor in 1982. He served the company in a variety of roles before assuming the positions of Vice President, Operations Administration in 1997 and Senior Vice President, Operations Administration in 1999. Moore was named Chief Operating Officer-Outpatient Services in July of 2004.
A native of Laurel, Miss., he resides in Nashville with his wife Karen and their three children.
