ATLANTA, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Home Depot(R), the world's largest home improvement retailer, today announced that Marvin Ellison, senior vice president - logistics, was named president of its Northern Division, effective immediately.

Ellison will report to Carl Liebert, executive vice president - stores. He succeeds Troy Rice, who left the company to pursue other opportunities.

"He has excelled at each step of his career, advancing from vice president of loss prevention to senior vice president - logistics."
Under Ellison's leadership, Logistics improved its on-time delivery and fill rates of shipments to the company's stores. Most recently, Ellison completed integrating the international component of Logistics with its counterpart to create a worldwide network.
Prior to joining The Home Depot, Ellison spent 15 years at the Target Corporation, where he held various management and executive level positions.
