MicroStrategy Announces Barcelona, Spain as Location for Winter Symposium


MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MicroStrategy(R) Incorporated , a leading worldwide provider of business intelligence (BI) software, today announced that it will host the MicroStrategy Winter Symposium, February 6-8, 2006, at the Hotel Fira Palace in Barcelona, Spain. The two-day event offers a collaborative venue for participants to exchange ideas with industry experts and peers, learn valuable BI strategies from successful global companies, and consult with MicroStrategy's top technology leaders.

The MicroStrategy Winter Symposium will feature a wide range of educational sessions, led by MicroStrategy product managers and engineers, with valuable information on BI application usage and performance. The Product Direction Sessions, led by MicroStrategy senior product and program managers, give attendees the opportunity to impact future MicroStrategy products. In addition, participants can schedule a one-hour consultation, at no charge, with a member of the MicroStrategy Technical Advisory Services Team.

A highlight of the Winter Symposium will be presentations from MicroStrategy customers that have successfully deployed enterprise BI applications and improved business performance. Some of the companies scheduled to present include Aerolineas Argentinas, Chevron Brazil, Symrise, Michelin, and Codere.

In conjunction with the Winter Symposium, MicroStrategy is hosting an invitation-only Executive Forum. The program will feature insights on BI success strategies from MicroStrategy customers CTTI and Cortefiel Group, and a roundtable discussion on business intelligence industry trends moderated by BI analyst Nigel Pendse.
