BALTIMORE, Jan. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Constellation Energy today announced that its subsidiary, Constellation NewEnergy, has named Terry S. Harvill as vice president, regional regulatory and government affairs. Harvill is responsible for directing Constellation NewEnergy's regulatory activities in Ohio and Michigan.

Prior to joining Constellation NewEnergy, Harvill was the director of regulatory policy and operations for DTE Energy Company in Michigan and served as a commissioner of the Illinois Commerce Commission. He also was Illinois Governor Jim Edgar's assistant for business and economic development, with responsibility for developing the governor's overall economic development strategy, providing legislative analysis and guidance to the governor on business and economic development issues and regulatory operations. In this position, Harvill also was responsible for electric, natural gas and telecommunications restructuring and deregulation legislative efforts at the state and federal levels.
Harvill, who currently resides in Novi, Mich., was selected as one of 20 U.S. participants in the European Union Visitors Program. He is a past member of the Board of Advisors of the Institute for Regulatory Policy Studies at Illinois State University and the Harvard Electricity Policy Group.
