DALLAS, Feb. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TXU Corp. and its remarketing agent, Lehman Brothers Inc., announced today that the remarketing of TXU Corp.'s 5.8% Series M Senior Notes due May 16, 2008 (CUSIP No. 873168868) will be rescheduled to May 11, 2006. The Senior Notes originally were scheduled to be remarketed by February 13, 2006.
TXU Corp. issued $440 million aggregate principal amount of the Series M Senior Notes when it issued 8.8 million Income PRIDES (CUSIP No. 873168884) in June 2002. Each Income PRIDES currently consists of $50 principal amount of the Series M Notes and a forward contract to purchase TXU Corp. common stock on May 16, 2006. There is currently approximately $180 million aggregate principal amount of the Series M Notes outstanding.
