TACOMA, Wash., Feb. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Columbia Bank announced that it has awarded its highest honor, the W.W. Philip Excellence in Customer Service Award, to Mary Helbling of the Cash Management Department. The award is named for former CEO Bill Philip. Ms. Helbling was presented the award by Mr. Philip and Columbia Bank President and CEO, Melanie Dressel.

Candidates for the W.W. Philip Award are nominated by their peers and selected by an employee group that includes past W.W. Philip Award winners and employees from all areas of the Bank.
Ms. Helbling's nomination referred to "the confidence she inspires in others that we are going to get the job done right the first time."
