TACOMA, Wash., March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Columbia Bank announced the promotion of Vice President and International Banking Manager Kathy Peterman to Senior Vice President. Peterman was hired by Columbia Bank in 1999 to start its International Banking Department, and today Columbia is the only bank in the region to offer a full service international banking department with local services available to its customers and the community.

Ms. Peterman has been with Columbia Bank for 7 years and has over 18 years of international banking experience. Her background includes working for an export company as well as banking. She holds a certificate from the International Banking Operations School in Washington D.C. She is a Past Vice-Chair of the NW Letter of Credit Committee of the International Financial Services Association (formerly US Council of International Banking).
Peterman was born and raised in Tacoma and currently resides in Tacoma with her husband and youngest child. She has 3 children and one grandchild. She is active locally in the World Trade Center of Tacoma, Propeller Club, Evergreen Building Association, IFSA Organization, International Western States Committee and McChord Air Force Base.
