BARRINGTON, Ill., March 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CTI Industries Corporation today announced that it has entered into an expanded arrangement with Heil & Lambert LLC, a California based marketing firm, to produce and market a line of food storage and preservation products under the brand Simply Smart(TM). In September 2005, CTI introduced the first in this planned line of products -- SimplySmart Universal Vacuum Sealer Bags -- vacuum seal bags designed to be compatible with most existing major vacuum seal machines. These machines evacuate air and seal the bags for storage in the freezer, refrigerator or at room temperature. The bags are produced by CTI utilizing a multi-layered, high-strength textured film to assure rapid removal of air, maximum vacuum, and a long-lasting, airtight seal.
At the 2006 International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago starting March 12, 2006, CTI and Heil & Lambert will introduce an expanded line of SimplySmart(TM) products which are expected to be available for sale by the spring/summer of 2006. In addition to the universal vacuum sealing bag, the line will include:
-- SimplySmart Resealable Vacuum Bags and Hand Pump. This system offers an
easy, airtight food storage solution, which is simple and compact, at a
size and cost far less than that of other leading manufacturers. The
system includes resealable vacuum bags and a compact vacuum pump which
can extract air from the bag with a few turns of the pump's handle.
The system replicates the airtight, vacuum-sealed state of the original
packaging for everyday perishable items like cheese, meats and other
solid food items. The system is in the later stages of development and
is expected to be available for sale by late spring.
-- SimplySmart Produce Protector Bags. These bags address the problem of
extending the life of fresh produce. Most produce is sensitive to the
natural ethylene gas emitted by many fruits and vegetables as they
mature. Unlike ordinary plastic bags, these scientifically designed
bags absorb the ethylene gas emitted by the produce and slow the
spoiling process.
