Chateau St. Martin LLC (CSM) today announced that ten of
their imported wines have been selected out of a field of over 300 to
be part of the 2006 campaign promoting affordable Bordeaux wines in
the United States. A total of 100 wines made it to the final list
after a blind tasting conducted in New York by an independent jury.
The campaign is sponsored by the Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux (CIVB), the Bordeaux Wine Bureau, representing over 10,000 producers in the region of Bordeaux, France. CIVB will host media and trade tastings in New York, Chicago and San Francisco during the month of May (www.boredauxwinebureau.org). The campaign has been named "Today's Bordeaux: One Hundred Classic, Contemporary, Affordable Wines" and will offer a variety of wines from the region. All top 100 wines selected have met stringent criteria on quality and affordability and will be available at retail prices ranging from $8 to $25.
