Sterling Healthcare, a national leader in the provision
of hospital based physician-management services, today announced that
the Board of Directors has appointed Eugene F. Dauchert, Jr. as Chief
Executive Officer and G. Scott Dillon as Chief Operating Officer of
the company.

Mr. Dauchert joined the company 12 years ago and previously served in several key executive roles, including divisional president and most recently Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel. Prior to joining the company, he spent 15 years in private legal practice focusing on healthcare. He has been active in numerous civic, community and charitable organizations as well as various healthcare groups. Mr. Dauchert currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Durham Regional Hospital and is also serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Duke University Health System.

Mr. Dillon joined Sterling in January of 2004 as the company's Executive Vice President. Mr. Dillon is a 20 year veteran of the hospital based physician management industry having served in various senior operational, sales and marketing management positions with some of the nation's leading hospital based physician management firms as well as Proctor and Gamble and Schering Plough.

Sass and Resurgence Asset Management, a private equity firm that has provided financial support for the company since acquiring a majority of the stock in February 2004.
