Arbinet Director Resigns From Board


NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J., April 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Arbinet-thexchange, Inc. , the world's leading electronic marketplace for trading, routing and settling communications capacity, today announced that William G. Kingsley is resigning from Arbinet's Board of Directors, which will enable him to devote more time to EnerTech Capital's new energy and clean technology venture fund.

Anthony L. Craig, Arbinet's Chairman, said, "Bill has diligently served on the Arbinet Board since 2001. We are all grateful for his dedication to the Company and for his advice and counsel. We wish him well in his future endeavors."

Mr. Kingsley stated, "Arbinet is well positioned to execute on its strategic plan. It has been a pleasure to serve as a director and with the upcoming Annual Meeting, this was an appropriate time for me to make this transition. Separately today the Company announced that it has filed its preliminary proxy statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission in which the Arbinet Board has nominated Michael J. Donahue and Leo Pound for election to the Arbinet Board of Directors at the Company's 2006 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
