DALLAS, April 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Aviall Services, a business unit of Aviall Inc., , today signed a new agreement with GE - Aviation to distribute J85 military engine parts. This agreement, the fourth between Aviall and GE, gives Aviall the rights to exclusively supply foreign militaries around the world with engine parts for the remaining lifetime of the J85 engines.
Aviall's critical core competencies of market reach, inventory forecasting and management, product fulfillment and quality management will insure that GE's aftermarket customers have the product availability necessary to meet their needs.
The J85 engine powers the T-38 and F-5 aircraft. There are more than 5,000 engines flying in a number of applications in active service in 35 countries around the world. These engines are expected to be in use through 2040.
