ST. LOUIS, April 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ESCO Technologies Inc. today announced that Nexus Energy Software, Inc. (Nexus), the Company's recently acquired energy data management software subsidiary, has signed a multi-year contract with PPL Electric Utilities (PPL) to implement Nexus' entire suite of meter data management based software applications.
Nexus will be implementing an enterprise-wide solution, including all major modules in its Energy Vision(R) and ENERGY prism(R) product lines. This solution includes a comprehensive Meter Data Management System (MDMS) to manage all meter and related data for PPL, and a series of applications that use the data for revenue protection, complex billing, forecasting, distribution asset optimization, load research, settlement, and customer service via web based self-service and through the existing call center.
PPL is currently one of ESCO's largest deployed automatic meter reading (AMR) customers utilizing DCSI's proven TWACS(R) technology for approximately 1.4 million meters.
