MCLEAN, Va., April 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Jeff Webber, senior vice president and publisher of USATODAY.com, has been named to the additional position of senior vice president of advertising for USA TODAY.
The announcement was made today by USA TODAY President and Publisher Craig Moon. Webber replaces Jacki Kelley, who has resigned.
"Jeff is a longstanding USA TODAY executive who has been successful in every area in which he has worked," Moon said. "Jeff's leadership and wealth of experience online and at the newspaper make him extremely qualified to hold both of these challenging and important positions."
Webber joined USATODAY.com in his current position in March 2000. Prior to that appointment, he was vice president/circulation for USA TODAY's eastern region. He joined USA TODAY as general manager of the Houston circulation market in 1985. In 1987, he became general manager of the Boston market. Prior to joining USA TODAY, Webber served in several management roles in marketing and circulation at The Houston Post.
In addition to his roles in circulation and at USATODAY.com, Webber served on several company-wide interdepartmental teams and served as associate publisher/Olympics, leading the planning team for the 1996, 1998, and 2000 Olympic games for USA TODAY's coverage and marketing efforts. He is a founding member of the Online Publishers Association and serves on its board of directors. For the OPA, he currently chairs the Research Committee and is a member of the Membership Committee. He is on the board of directors of the Interactive Advertising Bureau, serving on the nominating committee.
Webber is a graduate of the University of Houston.
Kelley joined USA TODAY in 1987 and has been senior vice president of advertising since 2000.
