Tweeter Home Entertainment Group, the nation's premier
specialty consumer electronics retailer, today announced that Board of
Director member Matthew Bronfman will resign from his position,
effective April 26, 2006. Simultaneously, Tweeter has appointed John
Esposito, Karen Kaplan and Joe McGuire to its Board.

John Esposito, 50, will replace Bronfman on the Board of Directors. Esposito is the President and CEO of WEA Corp., Warner Music Group's U.S. physical and digital sales and retail marketing company. In addition Esposito oversees the company's worldwide digital distribution programs. In his role, Esposito also oversees WMG's Alternative Distribution Alliance and the mobile and online business for WMG's U.S. labels. Esposito has held several executive-level positions at a variety of companies including The Island Def Jam Music Group, PolyGram, Inc. and Mitsubishi Electronics America.
Additionally, Karen Kaplan and Joe McGuire will fill two newly created positions on the Board.
Karen Kaplan, 46, is president of Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos Inc. Joining the Boston advertising agency in 1982 as receptionist, Karen advanced her career in account management in the consumer, health care, technology, retail and financial services markets. Her firm's list of clients include Anheuser Busch, CVS/pharmacy, Dell, Dunkin' Donuts, John Hancock, Liberty Mutual, TJX Companies, Tyco and Verizon Wireless. Ms. Kaplan is also a director of ADVO, the nation's largest full-service targeted direct mail marketing services company, and of DSM, which conducts business under the operating name Delta Dental Plan of Massachusetts.
Joe McGuire, 45, is the president and CEO of Tweeter Home Entertainment Group. Starting as chief financial officer in 1996, McGuire was appointed CEO in July 2005, taking on the responsibility of returning the company to profitability, as well as continuing the evolution of the company's business model, with a focus on in-home installation and in-home services.
McGuire has been responsible for guiding Tweeter through its IPO and 11 subsequent acquisitions, helping Tweeter to achieve its nationwide presence in 23 states across the country.
Esposito, Kaplan and McGuire join Chairman Sandy Bloomberg, Jeffrey Bloomberg, Michael Cronin, Steven Fischman, John Mahoney and Jeffrey Stone on the Board of Directors.
