As market president, Homeyer will provide business, civic and philanthropic leadership for Bank of America in Springfield and the surrounding area. "Michael Homeyer is an experienced banker who will be an effective champion for business growth, community investment and neighborhood vitality in Springfield," said Mercurio. "Springfield is a key market for Bank of America and we are fortunate to have such a strong, proven leader like Michael heading our team locally."

Homeyer succeeds Rob Bratcher, who is relocating to Houston, TX with Bank of America.

"We thank Rob for his outstanding leadership as Springfield market president and his dedication to meeting customer and community needs during his time here," said Mercurio. "Rob established a strong reputation in the community and will certainly be missed by everyone who worked with him."

In addition to his duties as Springfield market president, Homeyer serves as senior client manager for Commercial Banking in the Southwest Missouri region. In this role, Homeyer is responsible for seamlessly delivering comprehensive financial solutions and industry expertise to general industries clients with annual revenues of $20 million to $2 billion.

Homeyer is chairman of the Pathfinder District (Greene, Christian and Webster counties) of the Boy Scouts of America and treasurer of the James River Basin Partnership. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Springfield Finance and Development Corporation and a member of Drury University's SIFE advisory board. At Bank of America, he has served as coordinator for the Springfield United Way campaign for the past two years.

Homeyer first joined Bank of America in 2003. He received an undergraduate degree from Drury University and an MBA from St. Louis University. Prior to joining Bank of America, Homeyer provided leveraged acquisition financing for large corporate clients across the U.S.

Homeyer currently resides in Springfield with his wife, Angie, and their three children. When he is not spending time with his family, Homeyer enjoys fishing for trout and smallmouth bass and playing tennis or golf.
