United Mileage Plus Is Seeing Double; Thanks Customers for 25 Years With Double Miles


CHICAGO, May 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- United Airlines' Mileage Plus(R) program continues to celebrate its 25th anniversary, this time by seeing double. The program is now thanking the loyal customers who made the years possible by offering double miles on all published-fare tickets booked on united.com between May 18 and May 31, 2006, and flown by Nov. 15, 2006.*

"These types of promotions enable customers to maximize their earning potential through their loyalty to United," said Kenneth Feldman, vice president-Loyalty and e-Commerce. Customers may earn double miles on hot trips in the United States and around the world, including these city pairs with their mileage potential: Chicago-Maui (16,736); New York City (JFK)-Los Angeles (9,900); San Francisco-Lihue (9,788); Chicago-Cancun (5,776); Los Angeles-London (21,824); and New York City-Tokyo (26,980). Mileage amounts reflect double miles for roundtrip travel on these routes.

In addition to United's double-miles promotion, Mileage Plus is offering a number of new promotions and program changes, as previously announced, to benefit loyal customers and to thank them for 25 successful years. These include:
