PHILADELPHIA, May 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- FMC Corporation announced that today it completed the sale of 23 acres of land located in San Jose, Calif., to the City of San Jose for $25.3 million. FMC sold an adjacent 52 acres to the City of San Jose in February 2005 for $56.2 million.
The closing today completes the sale of land that was formerly used by FMC's defense business, which was divested in 1997. The property is adjacent to the Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport.
