CLEVELAND, May 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PolyOne Corporation , a leading global polymer compounding and North American distribution company, announced today that Michael Kahler has joined the Company in the newly created position of senior vice president, commercial development.
During 23 years at Nalco Chemical Company (now Ondeo Nalco), Kahler gained extensive experience in global commercial leadership, ultimately rising to become group vice president and president of Nalco's Industrial Division. Since 2004, he has served as president of the Process Technology Division of Alfa Laval Inc.
At PolyOne, Kahler will be responsible for coordinating plans and integrating strategies for the sales, marketing and technology functions across the entire Company.

Kahler, 48, grew up in the Cleveland area before earning a bachelor of science degree in natural sciences from Xavier University. He and his wife, Katy, have two daughters. They plan to relocate to Greater Cleveland from their home in Richmond, Virginia.
