SEATTLE, May 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Alaska Airlines today announced it has reached tentative agreements with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers on two new four-year contracts covering more than 3,700 airline employees.
One tentative agreement covers Alaska's clerical, office and passenger service (COPS) employees, including more than 3,100 customer service and reservations sales agents. A second tentative agreement covers the airline's ramp service and stores agents (RSSA), including more than 600 aircraft ground-handling employees.
Terms of the COPS and RSSA agreements are being withheld pending a ratification vote by union members. The ratification process is expected to begin within the next two weeks.
