Second go! Aircraft Arrives in Honolulu on Schedule for Launch


HONOLULU, May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- go!'s second aircraft touched down at Honolulu International Airport Friday from Phoenix. go!, Hawaii's newest interisland carrier operated by Mesa Air Group, will launch on schedule June 9. The first go! CRJ-200 aircraft arrived May 19. Both aircraft will service Honolulu, Kona, Lihue and Kahului. Additional go! service to Hilo will begin June 30. Ground operations will use both aircraft for training until service begins. A third aircraft will arrive next week.

The $39 one-way fare remains on sale through May 31.

The Canadair Regional Jets, or CRJ 200s, are manufactured by Canadian-based Bombardier, Inc., boast leather seats, two-by-two seating with no middle seats, and are some of the quietest jets flying today. The aircraft livery, which was designed in-house at Mesa Air Group, features a wave originally photographed off the North Shore of Oahu. Powered by high performance General Electric CF34-3B1 engines, the aircraft are capable of flying at speeds of more than 500 miles per hour with a cruising altitude of up to 41,000 feet.

go! will launch on June 9, 2006, operating 32 flights per day with service between Honolulu and Kailua-Kona, Lihue and Kahului. The number of daily flights will increase to 62 as service is added to Hilo from Honolulu on June 30th. go! is entering Hawaii with one-way fares as low as $39*. Passengers who register for the go!
