SUDBURY, ON, May 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Today's editions of the St. Catharines Standard and Welland Tribune contain mistaken reports that a tentative agreement has been reached between Inco Limited and the USW Locals 6500 and 6200 representing production and maintenance employees in Sudbury and Port Colborne.
No agreement has yet been reached. As of Monday morning (May 29) talks are continuing with both sides remaining at the bargaining table.
Given the tight timeline to reach an agreement, with the current Collective Bargaining Agreement set to expire at midnight on May 31, both sides have agreed to continue a media blackout on the talks.
If and when a deal is reached, official media notice will be provided.
