DENVER, June 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frontier Airlines will add frequencies and/or capacity to seven of its domestic markets to and from Denver, and will add over 30 percent more capacity to its Mexico destinations during the peak winter holiday period. All of the mainline additions will be aboard Frontier's new all-Airbus A319 and A318 fleet, which feature 24 channels of DIRECTV as well as three choices of first-run pay-per-view movies, 33 inches of legroom and as always, outstanding customer service including pre-assigned seating and the industry's best frequent flyer program, EarlyReturns.
Frontier's fall/winter frequency increases and service upgrades* include the following highlights:
Frequency Additions
-- Service between Denver and Chicago-Midway (MDW) will increase to six
daily mainline flights beginning August 20, 2006. The additional
flight will offer Denver customers a peak departure from Denver during
the 5:00 PM hour.
-- Service between Denver and Dallas (DFW) will increase to seven daily
mainline flights beginning July 31, 2006. In the last year Frontier
has expanded from five to seven roundtrips in this important market to
Colorado travelers.
-- Frontier will extend a seasonal sixth daily mainline flight from
Denver to San Diego (SAN) through November 17, 2006.
-- Frontier will resume a seventh daily mainline flight between Denver
and Phoenix (PHX) beginning August 31, 2006.
-- Frontier will resume a seventh daily mainline flight between Denver
and Las Vegas (LAS) beginning August 31, 2006.
Service Upgrades
* From CRJ-700 Regional Jet (RJ) service to Airbus A319/A318 mainline
service
-- Service between Denver and Tucson (TUS) will upgrade to all mainline
service for its two daily flights beginning August 20, 2006.
-- Service between Denver and Dayton (DAY), which was seasonally upgraded
to all mainline equipment this summer, will now feature year-round
mainline service on one of its two daily flights beginning
August 20, 2006 (the other flight will utilize Frontier JetExpress
service aboard its CRJ-700 regional jet).
Mexico Increases
-- Available service to Frontier's seven Mexico destinations will
increase by an average of 30 percent during the peak winter holiday
period.
-- Frontier will continue operating daily service from Denver to Cancun
(CUN) except during low season (August 20 to October 6) when service
will be reduced to Wed/Sat/Sun. Starting October 7, 2006 Frontier
will resume daily service and will expand to three daily flights for
the peak winter holiday period this year.
-- Beginning November 18, 2006 Frontier will expand to eight flights per
week from Denver to Puerto Vallarta (PVR) with two flights a day on
Saturdays. This service will be further increased starting
December 18, 2006 when Frontier will begin 10 flights per week from
Denver to Puerto Vallarta.
-- Beginning December 17, 2006 Frontier will move to 10 flights per week
from Denver to Cabo San Lucas (SJD) with additional flights on
Tue/Fri/Sun.
-- Frontier will temporarily suspend its seasonal service from St. Louis
(STL) to Cancun on August 7, 2006, but will return November 18, 2006
with an improved schedule featuring service on Wed/Sat/Sun and morning
departures from St. Louis on weekends.
