QCSI(R) (Quality Care Solutions Inc.), a leading
provider of advanced information technology and enterprise application
software and services for health insurers and benefits administrators,
and Valutech Inc., a leading claims disbursement solution provider,
announced today the integration of the Valutech eValuCheck(C) payment
engine, part of its UCDS(C) (Universal Claims Disbursement System)
solution offerings, with QCSI's MyHealthBank(R) Finance cash account
management software.
The combined MyHealthBank and eValuCheck(C) tool simplifies the member's experience and helps reduce the administrative burden of managing health savings accounts (HSAs). A member who logs into MyHealthBank is given the choice to make payments online through the use of this Valutech payment solution with MyHealthBank Finance software, which integrates with the QNXT system for detailed transaction processing.
"Valutech is excited to offer our technology to QCSI clients. Our payment solution is designed to bridge the settlement of medical claims in all areas of claims processing, including HDHP and HSA environments," said Douglas Skeen, EVP and COO of Valutech Inc. "Valutech and QCSI will provide their customers more complete information regarding the financial transaction and provide better recovery and tracking of all payments."
Valutech will provide QCSI users a highly effective financial output capability. Valutech's claims disbursement system handles all aspects of claims payment, financial document output, payment adjustments, overpayment recovery, and other valuable financial tools to improve claims payment processing. In conjunction with MyHealthBank, Valutech handles all aspects of CDH disbursements and automates member payments using HSA funds held at any financial institution. This payment technology allows plan sponsors to efficiently settle provider claims while accurately tracking, in line item detail, the funding source used so any post-payment adjustments can be easily handled.
"In order to succeed in the rapidly growing Consumer-Directed Health market, healthcare payors need to minimize costs and give consumers the tools they need to make the right decisions," said Dave Engert, president and CEO of QCSI. "Our partnership with Valutech helps all of the stakeholders by simplifying HSA management for members while reducing the administrative burden on payors."
