BROOMFIELD, Colo., June 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Premier Devices, A Sirenza Company , today announced the availability of an expanded CATV hybrid amplifier product line to include a high-gain (28dB) push-pull amplifier and a high-gain (27dB) power doubler for 1GHz CATV infrastructure applications. These new amplifiers use highly reliable gallium arsenide (GaAs) semiconductor technology providing enhanced performance needed to meet both current and future CATV system demands. The PDI hybrid amplifiers use standard industry packages, facilitating design and product qualification and ease of use in a wide range of applications.
"With the additional bandwidth needed by cable operators to support growing broadband services, such as internet access, VoIP and Video on Demand, our 1GHz amplifier products are key building blocks as global CATV infrastructure OEMs upgrade existing networks and build out new cable networks," said Phil Liao, president of Premier Devices. "PDI works closely with major cable network equipment suppliers to develop and supply products to support this growing bandwidth demand."
In addition to these two new products, PDI's amplifier portfolio includes seventeen 1GHz hybrid amplifiers products designed for higher-bandwidth CATV infrastructure systems deployed by CATV operators looking to provide enhanced broadband services. Current product information and specifications can be found on the PDI and Sirenza websites.
