SACRAMENTO, Calif., June 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- GenCorp Inc. ("GenCorp") announced today that it has extended the expiration date of its previously announced consent solicitation with respect to a proposed amendment to the Indenture governing its 9-1/2% Senior Subordinated Notes due 2013 (the "Notes"). The consent solicitation, which was to have expired at 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on June 23, 2006, will be extended to 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on Tuesday, June 27, 2006. If GenCorp receives valid consents from holders of a majority in aggregate principal amount of the outstanding Notes prior to the expiration of the consent solicitation, GenCorp will pay a consent fee of $6.00 for each $1,000 principal amount of Notes for which a consent is validly delivered and not revoked.
