NASDAQ names Prosperity Bancshares, Inc.(R) to its new Global Select Market Tier
Prosperity Bancshares, Inc. also announced that NASDAQ has included its stock in the newly-created NASDAQ Global Select Market. The NASDAQ Global Select Market has the highest initial listing standards of any exchange in the world based on financial and liquidity requirements. Prior to the change, Prosperity had been listed on the NASDAQ National Market.
Beginning July 3, NASDAQ will begin classifying its listed companies under one of three listing tiers: NASDAQ Capital Market, NASDAQ Global Market, and NASDAQ Global Select Market. NASDAQ also plans to launch indexes based on these new tiers.
