TORONTO, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Inco Limited is contributing $1.5 million to the Regional Community Centre project in Thompson, Manitoba. The gift was announced in Thompson this weekend by Inco Chairman and CEO Scott Hand during special celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the Thompson ore body discovery and the founding of the community of Thompson.
Mr. Hand said that the project will help improve the quality of life in the community and enhance Thompson's attractiveness to potential new residents and tourists.

The Thompson Regional Community Centre is a $22 million project to ensure a sustainable, multi-faceted destination point and community facility that will reflect current and future needs by enhancing and developing lifestyle opportunities for the residents of Thompson and surrounding area.
