MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Navarre Corporation , a publisher and distributor of physical and digital home entertainment and multimedia products, announced today that it has appointed Marvin Gleicher as Vice President of DVD Content Acquisition, effective immediately.
Gleicher will have primary responsibility for acquiring and marketing DVD entertainment content for the Company's distribution segment and will report to Bob Freese, Vice President and General Manager of Navarre Entertainment Media.
Prior to joining Navarre, Gleicher founded the North America division of Manga Entertainment Inc. which specialized in the marketing of Japanese animation. Manga Entertainment was acquired by IDT Entertainment in 2004, where Gleicher continued to serve as President of Manga Entertainment. At IDT, Gleicher's responsibilities included acquisition, production and development of marketing strategies for entertainment content under the Manga Entertainment brand. Before founding Manga Entertainment Inc., Gleicher served as President of Smash/Island Records where he was instrumental in acquiring music talent for publishing and worldwide distribution in addition to building the visual media and music video product lines.
