Jack E. Angel has joined its board of directors.

Prior to founding GCL, Angel served as Executive Vice President for Medical Economics Company, based in Montvale, N.J., a leading medical publisher. In addition, he served as President for Patient Care Communications, Inc., based in Darien, Conn., a healthcare information and education company dedicated to physicians and physician networks; President of International Thomson Technology Information, Inc.; and Publisher of Physicians Desk Reference (PDR) and Drug Topics.
Angel currently serves as a Board Director for various companies, including Gold Standard Multimedia (recently acquired by Elsevier) in Tampa, Fla., Wicks Medical Information in New York, N.Y., Current Psychiatry, in Montvale, N.J., and Global Edge, Inc., in New York, N.Y.
Angel is active in several industry organizations and is currently the Executive Director of the Coalition for Healthcare Communications Foundation, based in New York, N.Y., a non-profit educational foundation that conducts research on the quality and value of healthcare marketing communications. Additionally, Angel was one of the original members of the Working Group on Communication of Ethical Guidelines for Gifts to Physicians from Industry, and served as President of the Association of Medical Publications and the Pharmaceutical Advertising Council.
Angel holds an M.B.A. from New York University in Manhattan, N.Y., and a B.M.E. from State University of New York in New York, N.Y.
