First National Bank of Pennsylvania Names Retail Banking Executive


HERMITAGE, Pa., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jonathan W. Roberts has joined First National Bank of Pennsylvania as Executive Vice President of Retail Banking. In this position he will be responsible for all of First National Bank's retail banking operations in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Roberts comes to First National Bank from Indianapolis, IN, where he was Indiana Retail Director and Senior Vice President for Charter One Bank. He joined Charter One in 2003, where he was responsible for the Bank's expansion into Indiana. During his tenure, he oversaw the creation and operation of over 67 new branches and all Indiana retail banking operations.

Prior to joining Charter One, he had spent ten years with Fifth Third Bankcorp of Cincinnati OH, where he was promoted to the position of Regional Vice President, Northeast Territory, Fifth Third Bank of Central Indiana.

A native of Suffolk County, England, Jonathan has lived in the Midwest since 1982. He attended the University of Cincinnati on a full athletic scholarship and graduated with honors, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology. In Indianapolis he was a member of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis, an at-large Board Member for Special Olympics of Indiana in 2005, and a frequent volunteer youth sports coach at the YMCA.

Roberts is relocating to Hermitage with his wife, Angela, and two sons, Jonathan and Justin.
