SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Leadis Technology, Inc. , a leading mixed-signal semiconductor developer of display driver ICs for small panel color displays, today announced the appointment of Paul Novell as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, reporting to the company's Chief Executive Officer, Tony Alvarez, effective immediately. Mr. Novell will reside in Hong Kong and manage Leadis' worldwide sales and marketing activities.

Dan Hauck, the company's former Vice President of Worldwide Sales, will remain with the company to aid with the transition. "He established a strong organization and structure, allowing the company to quickly ramp its sales base in a short time. This enables Paul to build on a good foundation."
Mr. Novell has a broad range of experience spanning management roles in sales, marketing, and engineering. For the past two years, Mr. Novell has resided in Hong Kong, initially as Asia Pacific Senior Sales Director for Cypress Semiconductor and most recently as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for Staccato Communications. From 1994 to 2004, Mr. Novell served in various marketing and general management capacities at Cypress Semiconductor. Mr. Novell holds both bachelor and masters' degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.
