MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Today, Mercury Interactive Corporation , the global leader in business technology optimization (BTO) software, announced that SAP AG will resell Mercury LoadRunner(R), Mercury's market-leading load testing software, across South America, Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean.
Available today and sold as part of a bundled offering, branded as SAP(R) LoadRunner(TM) by Mercury, the software helps customers maximize the value of IT deployments by validating performance and optimizing capabilities for SAP's enterprise resource planning software and the SAP NetWeaver(R) platform, SAP's comprehensive integration and applications platform.
Mercury LoadRunner allows customers to verify that SAP applications will meet business performance requirements before they "go live" in implementation deployments, and helps deliver SAP application implementations on time. By using SAP Loadrunner by Mercury, project managers obtain an accurate picture of end-to-end system performance and optimize the scalability of applications which are Powered by SAP NetWeaver. This helps managers avoid excess spending on hardware and infrastructure costs.
Today's announcement follows the December 2005 announcement of a worldwide master relationship agreement for SAP to resell Mercury LoadRunner. The master relationship agreement is activated by regional go-to-market agreements. Within seven months of signing the master agreement, Mercury has signed go-to-market agreements with SAP Canada, SAP Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), SAP Asia Pacific and SAP Latin America extending the reseller agreement across the globe.
