American Airlines Puts Caribbean and Mexico on Sale


FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Those lazy days of summer may be over, but no need to throw in the beach towel just yet. Instead, stretch that carefree feeling a little longer with special fall fares to the Caribbean and Mexico on American Airlines.

American has put many of its Caribbean destinations on sale -- along with some of Mexico's most popular resort spots -- for travel through late fall, making it a great time to get away.

Cool ocean breezes, leisurely shopping and relaxing rounds of golf will always trump stuffy offices, pressure-packed deadlines and nonstop meetings. So why not contact American, a founding member of the global oneworld(R) Alliance, and start planning your own endless summer?

Fares shown are for round-trip, Economy-Class travel purchased on AA.com, and are in U.S. dollars. Fares shown are valid for travel Monday through Thursday; other travel days are available at additional cost. Fares are subject to change without notice. International fares are subject to government approval.

Fares do not include (a) a federal excise tax of $3.30 per U.S. domestic flight segment, defined as one takeoff and landing, of a passenger's itinerary; (b) up to $18 per round trip in local airport charges; and (c) September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement originating at a U.S. airport, up to $5 per one way or $10 per round trip. For international and Puerto Rico/U.S. Virgin Islands destinations, government taxes and fees of up to $160, varying by destination, are not included and may vary slightly depending on currency exchange rates at the time of purchase.

Fares shown are valid for travel through Dec. 15, 2006. However, travel is not valid from the United States Nov. 17-22, 2006, or to the United States Nov. 24-27, 2006. Between Florida and San Juan, Puerto Rico (both directions), travel is not valid Nov. 17-22 or 24-27, 2006. Flights to/from Cozumel operate Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday through Nov. 15, 2006. After that date, flights operate every day except Monday and Tuesday. Service to/from Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo operates on Saturday only.

Tickets must be purchased at least seven days in advance or within one day of making reservations, whichever comes first, but not later than 11:59 p.m., Oct. 11, 2006 (Central Daylight Time). A two-day minimum stay is required, and a 30-day maximum stay is allowed.

Advertised fares are valid only on American Airlines, American Eagle, and AmericanConnection(R) and do not apply to other codeshare flights. Seats are limited. Fares may not be available on all flights. Schedules are subject to change without notice.

Fares are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Changes to your ticket may be made if you cancel your reservation before the original departure time, meet the restrictions of the new fare, and pay up to a $100 change fee plus any fare difference. Changes must be made before your flight departs. When you cancel your ticketed flight prior to departure time, the ticket will be valid for one year from the date of issue on an unused ticket or one year from travel origination on a partially used ticket. If you do not cancel your flight before departure time, the ticket has no value.

A portion or all travel booked on American Airlines may be operated by American Eagle or AmericanConnection. American Eagle is operated by American Eagle Airlines, Inc., or Executive Airlines, Inc., which are wholly owned by AMR Corporation, the parent company of American Airlines. AmericanConnection service is operated by one of the following independent contractors: Trans States Airlines, Inc., Chautauqua Airlines, Inc. or RegionsAir, Inc. Tickets may also be obtained (and changes may be made to tickets purchased from sources other than American Airlines, such as travel agents, online third-party Web sites and other airlines) through an American Airlines Telephone Reservations Office for an additional $10, or at an American Airlines Travel Center or Airport Ticket Office for an additional $15.

To purchase tickets on AA.com you must use a credit card with a billing address in the United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada, the United Kingdom, or select Latin American and Caribbean countries.
