DOTHAN, Ala., Sept. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Movie Gallery, Inc. today announced that Michelle K. Lewis will assume responsibility for the Company's day-to-day investor relations activities in addition to her current responsibilities. She will continue to manage special finance, accounting and integration projects for the Company.
Thomas D. Johnson, Senior Vice President and Interim Chief Financial Officer of Movie Gallery, stated, "Michelle has made an outstanding contribution over the past 11 years. Lewis joined Movie Gallery in October 1995. She was elected Senior Vice President, Treasurer in April 2004, after serving for four years as the company's Vice President, Finance. From 1995 to 1999, she served as the Company's Assistant Controller. Prior to joining Movie Gallery, Lewis was an accountant at Coopers & Lybrand, LLP (now Price Waterhouse Coopers). She is a Certified Public Accountant and received a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Troy University.
