Global Digital Healthcare will be held at the Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 10-11, 2006.
Mr. Currie will discuss how software applications can be extended to foster interoperability across the healthcare enterprise as part of a panel discussion entitled "Health Care Interoperability & Integration: Challenges and Issues." Key topics will include the importance of managing competing standards; the role of web services and XML in creating interoperability; overcoming challenges to linking private and public processes, and leveraging new technology with legacy software applications. In his remarks, Currie will provide insight based on his work with Quovadx in implementing standards-based interoperability solutions for the healthcare industry.
